The Avon FM53 Protective Mask is available in four sizes with and each size had a model for Left Handed or Right Handed users (mainly for shooting or using scopes), marked with letters as listed; Extra Small (XS), Small (S), Medium (M), or Large (L). The FM53 Protective Mask is the Top of the Avon 50 Series line & features numerous features NOT found on other premium gas mask systems.  Note: LH Versions have a filter port on the right; RH Models have the filter port on the left; This allows users to obtain a perfect 'cheek weld' to various weapons & optical systems. (This design ensures that the mask is completely smooth & fits perfectly on the side that fits against the weapon/scope/etc.)  Just remember that the LH & RH models refer to the shooters dominant hand & thus, have the smooth side on that same side & port on the opposite.
Dual Exhalation Valves:  Switch from negative pressure (gas mask w/filter mode) to positive pressure 'mode' instantly (for using the gasmask with powered air systems / PAPR's, SCBA's & even CCBA's. This feature enables the FM-53 to function as a conventional negative pressure mask as well as with a range of SCBA (Self-Contained-Breathing-Apparatus), PAPR (Powered-Air-Purifying-Respirator), or CCBA (Closed-Circuit-Breathing-Apparatus).
Industry Certified Protection Factors & NATO standard protection factors give reassurance that the mask has been rigorously tested to optimum levels. NIOSH CBRN certified TC-14G-0305. NIOSH industrial certified TC-14G-0304.
Comms Ready:  Integrated voice communications capability with internal microphone for radio and voice projection unit use** Provides clear communication while wearing mask Electronic pass-through for external radio use (Audio Freq Amp sold separately).
