For your consideration a full size DEFENSIVE-SECTOR BAR Device for the new, current issue, WW 1 Victory Medals with great patina. It is in good condition.

United States World War I Victory medal. Instituted 1919 for issue to all services who served in the military between 6 April 1917 and 11 November 1918 and to the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) in Russia between 12 November 1918 and 5 August 1919. Also awarded to the AEF in Siberia for service between 12 November 1918 and 1 April 1920.
Army Battle Clasps
The following battle clasps, inscribed with a battle's name, were worn on the medal to denote participation in major ground conflicts.
Aisne (May 27 to June 5, 1918)
Aisne-Marne (July 18 to August 6, 1918)
Cambrai (May 12 to December 4, 1917)
Champagne-Marne (July 15-18, 1918)
Lys (April 9-27, 1918)
Meuse-Argonne (September 26 to Nov. 11, 1918)
Montdidier-Noyon (June 9-13, 1918)
Oise-Aisne (August 18 to November 11, 1918)
St. Mihiel (September 12-16, 1918)
Somme-Defensive (March 21 to April 6, 1918)
Somme-Offensive (August 8 to November 11, 1918)
Vittorio-Veneto (October 24 to November 4, 1918)
Ypres-Lys (August 19 to November 11, 1918)
For general defense service, not involving a specific battle, the "Defensive Sector" Battle Clasp was authorized. The clasp was also awarded for any battle which was not already recognized by its own battle clasp.
