This original professional studio portrait by Eugene Pirou has the name of Comte Jean Padtre inscribed in French on the lower corner, possibly by Pirou. The back of the photo has acceptable agewear and Pirous photographer's stamp and the name of Jean Pastre in the lower corner in pen. This very rare portrait of Count Jean Pastre (1888- 1960) by pioneer filmmaker/ photographer Eugene Pirou (1841-1909) is a must for the serious photograph collector / polo enthusiast. Google Eugene Pirou to learn more about his amazing career as a filmmaker and photographer.
