Description
Paolo Corso resides in Italy where he hand carves pipes the old school way using only the finest aged Italian. He hand-cuts his stems and has a focus on precision engineering while also employing a variety of beautiful finishes and shapes. If you have not yet smoked one of his pipes, it is time to treat yourself as they are certainly special! An avid fisherman, he grades his pipes Bass/Black Bass, Trout, and Salmon in ascending order and puts a silver fish hook in the stems of all his creations. To the untrained eye, this pipe looks fantastic in all facets yet Paolo is a perfectionist so with even the most minor of "flaws" the pipe essentially becomes a second as seen here with this beautiful straight Bulldog. What's wrong with it? Good question, not much. The rim is just a touch thinner than intended however there is still plenty of briar surrounding the modest chamber. The bowl is classically formed with double beads and I love the half blast/half smooth profile. Shank is diamond cut and sturdy meeting the hand-cut vulcanite stem with crisp bit and silver fish hook logo as previously mentioned. The finish on the upper half is a light natural stain while the blast is warm and golden brown showing amazing 360 degree ring grain. Awaiting its maiden voyage, this Corso simply will not disappoint. Comes with green logo glove to protect your new favorite Italian pipe!Nomenclature: CORSO, BASS, HAND MADE IN ITALY
